Week of 8/12

Looks like my idea of a weekly newsletter is becoming more of a monthly one! Since becoming licensed the end of July, we have been busy meeting and greeting new families, making improvements to our center, and working with the community. We've welcomed a few new families to our care through not just our daycare program, but through our afterschool program as well. There is still time to sign up for Wild Roots if you haven't! We do have a few drop in openings for daycare this week as well. As for center improvements, we have been adding to our collection of resources and toys for our kids to interact with and learn with. Watching them interact with the world around them has been such a joy! Our community impact has been growing immensely this last month. The Northwoods Activism Group gave us a wonderful donation as part of their new initiative to help programs, non-profits and businesses in Rhinelander that better our community. We are truly honored at AEA to have been a recipient of their generosity and kindness!

We are also impacting our community by being at community events and hosting our own events! The beginning of August, we had our licensing party and open house, where current and new families were able to walk through our space and see our classrooms, as questions, and fill out paperwork to get their children enrolled in daycare or afterschool care. We had a very successful turnout, and can't wait for the next open house! As for events you can expect to see us at, make sure to stop by our table at Redikulus Dae on Wednesday, August 13th from about 8am-12pm! We will be answering questions about daycare and afterschool care, as well as raffling 2 weeks of free care to new families!

Final Thoughts...

It's hard to believe it's been 2 weeks since we officially opened our doors to serve the Rhinelander community. And what a joy it has been! We've welcomed many new families and have made lasting impacts on our community. As summer draws to a close, be on the lookout for the new and exciting things fall will bring to AE Academy.
